Libertarians, Ron Paul supporters and the general public gathered in mid
July for Missouri Libertarian Candidate Forums in Columbia and St. Louis. Forty
to fifty people attended each of the forums.
The highlight of the forums was the speech by Wayne Allyn Root, Libertarian
Party Vice Presidential nominee, who energized the crowd in support of the
Libertarian Party Presidential campaign of Bob Barr.

Mike Ferguson, Barr for President midwest campaign coordinator, introduced Mr. Root.
Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party Presidential nominee is already polling at 6% nationwide
and, in some states double digits.
Mike Ferguson, 2004 Missouri Libertarian candidate for Lt. Governor,
related how this was the best presidential ticket and campaign in Libertarian
Party history and, how it would help grow the party and help our candidates here in
Missouri.
Lloyd Sloan, former Sloan Ranger radio show host acted as emcee. Robert Sullentrup,
former Missouri LP State Chair and Libertarian Party National Secretary spoke about
media appearances by Mr. Root and Rock The Debates. Glenn Nielsen,
Missouri Libertarian Party State Chair spoke briefly and presented Missouri LP
Treasurer, Paula Benski, with a award from the National Libertarian Party for her
service.

Nine Missouri LP candidates spoke at the St. Louis candiate forum and three spoke at
the Columbia forum.
