Congressman Bob Barr will be visiting St. Louis on September
8. The Libertarian Coalition for Responsibility is hosting a "Bob Barr-B-Q"
where local libertarians will have a chance to meet and hear from Mr.
Barr.
The event
will take place at the Glassberg Pavilion in Greensfelder
Park
September 8, 2007 from 11-3pm.
Congressman
Bob Barr joined
the
Libertarian Party after a long stint in Congress. He will be the
Keynote
Speaker at the Libertarian Party 2008 Presidential Nominating
Convention in Denver
Colorado May 23-26. He also occupies a seat on the
Libertarian Party's
National
Committee
representing Georgia and neighboring states.
Joining
Congressman Barr at the Barr-B-Q will be Shane Cory,
the Libertarian Party's Executive Director based in Washington, DC. In addition, Libertarian Party Lt.
Gubernatorial candidate Mike Ferguson
will be on
hand from Kansas City. Mike will be a featured speaker at the 2008
convention.
The fee
is $35 per person, payable to the Libertarian
Coalition for Responsibility. Proceeds will be donated to responsible
Libertarian candidates during the 2008 election.
