February National Animal Identification (NAIS) events

There are two events scheduled in February to discuss NAIS. Darla Maloney, Chair of the Missouri Libertarian Party has been invited to speak at the NAIS town hall meeting in Cameron, Missouri February 15th.

Please consider participating in these two events if you live in the northwest part of Missouri.

NAIS Opponent Radio Interview Thursday February 8, 2007 9-10AM

Paul Hamby, a Missouri NAIS opponent will be interviewed on the Barry Birr KEFQ 680AM Hotline Show in St. Joseph Thursday February 8 from 9-10AM.

NAIS Town Hall Meeting February 15, 2007 7PM

A town hall meeting explaining the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) will be held February 15th, 2007 7:00PM at the Community Center in Cameron, Missouri located at 915 N. Ashland.

This is an informative meeting dealing with the implementation of the U.S.D.A.'s National Animal Identification System which will effect all livestock and many pet owners!

The USDA and Missouri Dept of Ag want to implement a program to track your horses, cattle, swine, chickens and poultry, lamas, alpacas, sheep, goats - all livestock - even if you only have one chicken!

Speakers are invited from both sides of this issue. Four speakers from Mo.Property Rights Groups will be here and several members of the Missouri Legislature including the state reps and Senator from NW Missouri, also the Mo. Dept.of Agriculture, Mo. Farm Bureau, Mo. Cattleman Association have been invited to speak.
