Letter To The Editor - Aaron on his move to the Free State
July 10, 2006
Hello,
My name is Aaron Hemingway and I wanted to send information
regarding a recent personal decision. I was born and raised in
Missouri, and always brought up to respect personal freedom.
Each day it seemed I had lost a grain of liberty, which alarmed
me and required action. In early January, I took a vacation.
I didn't choose Florida or Branson. I did choose a place I was
unfamiliar with, when I drove to New Hampshire. I felt like a
stranger, no place for a countryboy from southern Missouri.
The last time I saw Missouri was early March, when I drove out
of St Louis. I'd moved to New Hampshire to stay. I didn't move
here for the mountain scenery, or the ocean views on the Seacoast.
I moved because hundreds of people concerned with the rapid increase
in tyranny decided to move to New Hampshire to take a stand for
freedom. Some people think its a joke, but when freedom bashing
elected officials find us on their doorstep protesting, the time for
jokes has passed. We have a community, complete with newspapers,
radio talk shows, meetings, festivals, action groups, and protests
with the single goal of preserving liberty.
I invite all Libertarians from Missouri to see what we are doing in
New Hampshire, and to learn about the Free State Project. Lets work
together to save this country.
Sincerely,
Aaron Hemingway
