Mike Bozarth wins seat on St. Joseph City Council

Congratulations to Mike Bozarth who was elected to the St. Joseph City
Council April 4th. Mike has been active in the LP in Missouri for years.
Mike won with 1471 votes or 54% of the vote, beating the incumbent by
191 votes.
The city council in St. Joseph is made up of a mayor and 8 council
members. Five of the 8 council seats are elected by district. The
other three council members are elected at-large. Mike's seat was one
of the 5 districted seats. Two incumbents were reelected. All
others, including the mayor are new members.
He spent a total of about $1200. About two hundred and fifty-five
dollars were contributed by a total of about four contributors. The
money was spent on yard signs, push cards and advertising.
