Michael Badnarik Tours Battleground State Missouri July 8-10

For Immediate Release

(St. Louis, MO) The Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate
Michael Badnarik will be making a swing through Missouri July
8th through July 10th with stops in Kansas City, Columbia, and
St. Louis. At most of the events he will be appearing with
statewide and local Libertarian Party candiates.

This is Badnarik's first campaign trip to Missouri since winning
the Libertarian Party nomination in convention May 30, 2004.

"The Constitution: It's Not Just a Good Idea. It's the Law," says
Presidential nominee Michael Badnarik.

Michael Badnarik, famous for his campaign slogan, "Lighting the
Fires of Liberty One Heart at a Time," stole the hearts of the
Libertarian Party faithful to win a dramatic come-from-behind
victory against two better funded and better known rivals.

He also became known and respected for his doggedly Constitution-
based answers to policy questions -- answers honed during years
of teaching classes on the US Constitution.  Badnarik took his
classes on the road with his presidential campaign and published
his lessons in a book, titled It's Good to Be King! the
Foundations of Freedom.

Badnarik capped a fourteen month, grueling coast-to-coast campaign
with an electrifying debate performance at the Libertarian National
Convention over Memorial Day weekend in Atlanta, GA.  With his
surprise win on the third ballot, Badnarik became the unity
candidate, pulling together the previously contentious camps of
his rivals to build his campaign team.

The Road to Freedom on the Road to the Whitehouse

Candidate Badnarik's first campaign swing through Missouri in June
2003 featured CSPAN coverage at a Libertarian presidential
candidate debate, The Road to Freedom, in Belton, MO, June 9.

Badnarik, who had a total of three campaign trips through Missouri
in his quest for the nomination, is expected to concentrate on the
seventeen battleground states, including Missouri.

St. Louis, Saturday July 10th

11:00 am - "Tailgate Party" at Hannegan's Restaurant on Laclede's Landing
(719 North Second, near Morgan Street).  >From their website:  "(Hannegan's)
is named for one of Missouri's leading New Deal politicians, St. Louis'
"big boss" Robert E. Hannegan. Each table or booth displays a plaque inscribed
with the name of a senator who voted to repeal Prohibition. Modeled after the
U.S. Senate Dining Room, the room features a magnificent bar and some of the
best local jazz around.  Come celebrate a time when people gathered together
and gave honor to the political process."  We will be gathering on the
outdoor patio.

12:20 pm - Cards vs. Cubs game  If you don't already have your tickets with
the group, you probably won't be able to sit with us, but it'll be a fun day
at the ballpark regardless (especially considering that current LNC Chair
Mike Dixon and past LNC Chair Jim Lark will be in attendance, as well as our
vice-presidential candidate Richard Campagna and Missouri's own LNC Secretary
Bob Sullentrup!)

6:00 p.m.(sharp) Photo session at T.R. Hughes Ballpark O'Fallon, MO.  A
quick photo session will take place in front of the Libertarian Party
billboard at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.  The LP News is doing a story on our
grass roots advertising and has requested pictures of the billboard.
Everyone is encouraged to attend this short 10 minute photo shoot.
For those of you attending the meet and greet at the Maryland Yards in
St. Charles, we will be car pooling to the ballpark from the Maryland
Yards parking area at 5:45 and returning to Maryland Yards by 6:30.

6:30 pm - "Meet and Greet" with Michael Badnarik at Maryland Yards at the
Waterworks, in downtown St. Charles (1200 South Main, 63301).  Attendees can
order food freely from the menu from 7:00 to 7:30, and drinks will be
available at the bar (I should note that this venue has a large selection
of beers available on draft, even in "yards").  Food service will be
available after the aforementioned time, but service may not be as timely
then.

If you're interested in attending either of these events in St. Louis,
or if you would like additional information, please RSVP to Tamara Millay
(tmillay@earthlink.net).
