Texas County Launches LP GroupThe first official meeting in Texas County Libertarians attracted 18 on November 21. Many of the attendees were former republicans including some republican committeemen. Many were affiliated with the Property Rights Congress. County Chair Richard Green led the discussion that continued for over two hours and included a review of reports from election challengers. Brandt Ehrhardt, a teacher from Licking High School, volunteered to be on the Executive Committee from District 8, replacing Chip Taylor who is moving to Arkansas to pursue a Ph.D. in social science. Brandt will also serve on the State Committee from the 23rd state senatorial district. The next meeting in Texas County will be scheduled around the last week in January. MO Libertarian Party Vice-Chair John Williams expects more defections from the Republican Party. “I believe that we are going to be able to grown here”, John noted, “but we'll have to work at it”. |
