CATO Author to Speak at 2003 MoLP Convention

Michael Tanner will be one of the featured speakers on Saturday, June 7, at “Liberty Liftoff!” the 2003 Missouri Libertarian Party Convention.

Michael Tanner is director of health and welfare studies at the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C., and director of Cato's Project on Social Security Privatization.

He has written numerous books and studies on health, welfare, and Social Security.

Most recently Tanner co-authored two books with Peter Ferrara: A New Deal for Social Security and Common Cents, Common Dreams: A Layman's Guide to Social Security Reform

He served as director of research for the Georgia Public Policy Foundation in Atlanta and legislative director for the American Legislative Exchange Council.

Tanner is currently an adjunct scholar with the Mackinac Center in Michigan and the Alabama Family Alliance.

He is also a contributing editor of Intellectual Ammunition magazine. He is a graduate of Norwich University.
