Candidate Jack Stults Launches Billboard Campaign

If you are traveling through Joplin, be sure to check out the billboard along Highway 44 for Jack Stults, our Libertarian candidate for State Rep in the 129th district.

“It’s just basic Marketing 101”, noted Jack Stults in a letter to Show-Me Freedom, “distilling Libertarian tenents down to a concise billboard. Hopefully, this will appeal to both Joe Beercan and Ed Egotist”.

He continued, “The party symbol, faint flag backdrop and website (note the .us rather than .com) are intended to appeal to the public’s renewed sense of patriotism. I’m attempting to appeal to a wide range of voter segments:

  1. Those 40-60% who vote NOTA by simply not going to the polls
  2. Parents with children in private schools
  3. Pro-choice abortion voters
  4. Gays and
  5. Taxpayers. Property tax, which increased 30% in Joplin/Newton, death taxes and workers compensation are all hot-button issues in SW MO.

I must differentiate my product (Jack L. Stults – Libertarian) in order to get them to vote for me. I can’t be just another Republican or Democrat in Libertarian clothing. I have to sell where I’m different in manner and tone that is neither strident nor radical”.

“But”, he concluded, “Most of the above is intuitively obviously to the most casual observer”.

Sorry, Jack, it’s not obvious or we’d be doing much more of it by now. Thanks for pointing it out, and thanks for your superb dedication to Liberty.
