MoLP State Convention May 17-19

The Jefferson City Ramada Inn will be the site of the 2002 Missouri Libertarian Party State Convention and State Committee meeting, planned for May 17-19.

Convention speakers include

• Vin Suprynowicz, author and columnist
• Dr. Mary Ruwart, author and principal at the Advocates for Self-Government
• Marc Brandl, National LP Campus Coordinator
• Jeff Foli, Libertarian Mayor of Chillicothe

In addition, plans include a panel discussion of college age voters from a variety of political parties to express their concerns for the future.

The convention kicks off with a "Meet the Authors" session with cash bar on Friday evening. Saturday features speeches, the panel discussion, and is capped with the evening banquet.

Sunday morning brings the annual State Committee meeting. Two individuals from each of the state's 34 senatorial districts plus four officers comprise the State Committee. Since the organization of the State Committee and annual meeting are specified by state statute, State Committee members are expected to attend.
