New Poll at Cass County Web SiteBy Michael Ferguson
(michaelaferguson@yahoo.com) The Cass County Libertarian Party has added a new poll to its web site, http://cass.molp.org, seeking to determine whom Libertarians prefer as their 2004 presidential nominee. On that page, click the "LP 2004 Presidential Straw Poll" link. Cass County Libertarians believe that this is the first "straw poll" for the LP Presidential race in 2004. Cass County will officially launch the poll in January, but the site was up and running before Christmas in test mode. The web site's counters will be resent at the beginning of each month, allowing monthly totals to track momentum. Voters will be able to vote once per month. The list of candidates includes prominent Libertarians and past candidates. Voters will be able to write in prospective nominees. This list will be dynamic with minor monthly adjustments to reflect write-ins or negligible support. "We hope to use this poll to generate publicity for the LP, our candidates, and our web site locally", stated Mike Ferguson, Cass County Libertarian Party Vice Chair and candidate for Belton Charter Commissioner. "Please help us by voting and spreading the word about the poll. It is open to everyone, not just Missourians", he added. |
